Trustee Bio

The IMHS is governed by a nine member board of officers and trustees elected by the members of the society. Elections are held on a rotating basis, with one or two trustees elected each year. Many of our trustees have been life long members of the society and contributed greatly to its success and longevity. This page introduces you to the current board and provides some insight into why IMHS is so important to them.

Joseph Reinhart, President
josephjreinhart@comcast.net

Joe has served as the President of the Indian Mills Historical Society for 9 years and has been a resident of Indian Mills for over 42 years. He originally grew up in Pennsauken, NJ but now enjoys the rural, peaceful surroundings of Indian Mills. Joe’s unique abilities as a full time Program Delivery Manager for FEMA are also put to good use locally. He is active in many civic organizations including the volunteer fire company, forestry service, Hazmat team, and local Emergency Management team. His hope is that through continued outreach, more IMHS members will become active in the organization and aid in the renovation of our own historical facility.

She has always had an interest in history and majored in the subject at Old Dominion University. Laura has been very active in the society and has held most of the executive positions at one time or another. She cautions not to miss election night at the society if you don’t want to be selected for an office! She has strong family ties to the area and can’t think of anywhere she would rather live. Neil Wilkinson
neilrlw@comcast.net

Neil is a relative newcomer to IMHS; but, he is a long time resident of the area. Neil moved from England to Medford, NJ when he was 9yrs old and later, as an adult, purchased a farm in Shamong, which was a life-long dream. Growing up in England, and then touring many European countries, has given Neil a great appreciation for history. He is dedicated to the preservation of history through digital media. And, he looks forward to serving the members of IMHS.
