Indian Mills Memorial School Sign Contest

At the April 2019 regular meeting, Mr. Joe Reinhart, President of the Indian Mills Historical Society, announced a Sign Contest for the students of Indian Mills Memorial School. This contest was in place of the essay contest sponsored annually by IMHS.

Thank you Mrs. Cathy Campeau, eighth- grade Language Arts teacher, who coordinated with Joe and organized the contest within IMMS.

The intent of this contest was to capture, through artistic expression, the spirit and history of the township, highlighting its cultural heritage. In addition to a $100 first place prize, the winning entry will also become the basis for a site marker on Oakshade Road identifying the future home of IMHS.

IMHS wants to acknowledge the efforts of all participants, their creativity and amazing artistic abilities. Each entry will be displayed in the new building once the remodeling is completed.

Three entries were presented to the society members for consideration at the June 2019 regular meeting. The winning entry was from Ms. Mackenzie McKillop; whose bright pastoral background and rustic structures embodied the elements of our rural community.

Each of the finalists entries are presented below:
